The City Of Love

There is a place in God’s Spirit,

and all who find it are blessed,

a wonderful place where true love is found,

a beautiful city of rest.

This place is not easy to get to,

we must pass through the cold and dark night,

but if we hold on till the darkness is gone,

we can enter this city of light.

In this place all things are so gentle,

in this mountain our souls find release,

and if we yield our hearts to God’s loving touch,

we can dwell in this city of peace.

Our Savior has passed on before us,

every battle He’s already won,

now He sits on His throne in this city of love,

and waits for His people to come.
