Mountains And Valleys

When we are on the mountain tops we sing a happy song,

it seems there’s joy everywhere and nothing could go wrong.

We know the Lord  is with us and we have no cause for fear,

and as His light shines on our path, the way seems very clear.

But soon the spirit leads us on through valleys deep and dark,

and then it seems we walk alone and sorrow fills our heart.

With troubles all around us, our path grows very dim,

but here we learn to walk by faith and put our trust in Him.

It’s here that Jesus teaches us and makes our hearts to know,

that in the deepest valleys the lovely lilies  grow.
